Velvet Tarot is an AI-powered tarot reading platform operated from the United Kingdom. Our website is velvetarot.co.uk. For privacy matters contact us at hello@velvetarot.co.uk.

When you register we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google we receive your name and email from Google. When you subscribe we pass your payment details to Stripe — we never see or store your card number. We record the readings you generate (your question, the cards dealt, and the reading text) so you can access your history. We log basic usage counts such as how many readings you have done.

We use your email to send account verification, password reset, and important service emails. We use your reading history solely to show it back to you. We use aggregated, anonymised usage data to improve the service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Accepting cookies on our banner records that preference in your browser's local storage only.

We use Stripe for payment processing (stripe.com/gb/privacy), Anthropic to generate reading text (anthropic.com/privacy), and ElevenLabs to generate voice audio (elevenlabs.io/privacy). Your question and card data is sent to Anthropic to produce your reading; your reading text may be sent to ElevenLabs if you request a voice reading. These services have their own privacy policies.

We retain your account and reading history for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@velvetarot.co.uk. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You have the right to object to processing and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights please contact hello@velvetarot.co.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email.
